Jell-O® Seven Minute Frosting

This frosting adds color to any birthday cake INGREDIENTS 3-1/2 tablespoons Jell-o®, any flavor 1/2 cup hot water 1-1/4 cup granulated sugar 2 egg whites, unbeaten Dash of salt Dissolve Jell-O® in water in top of double boiler. Add sugar, egg whites and salt. Beat mixture for about 1 minute with rotary or electric beater until well mixed. Place over rapidly boiling water. Beat constantly about 7 minutes or until frosting stands up in peaks. Transfer to another bowl and beat about 1 minute or until thick enough to spread.
